Near the beach of Vonyarc, our newly built U8 apartment house awaits our guests who wish to relax. Whether you are looking for peace and quiet or active relaxation, with family, a larger group of friends or just the two of you, we have something for everyone.

The modern, spacious apartments (74 m2 - 22 m2) are equipped to meet all your needs and include a comfortable kitchen.

A heated swimming pool, Finnish sauna and barbecue facilities ensure that all the wishes of our guests are catered for.

U8 Apartment House in Vonyarcvashegy is waiting for you again this summer!

We have been working during the closure to provide you with an even more beautiful environment and more comfortable apartments when we reopen!

The garden, the courtyard and the heated pool area have also been renewed, built - beautified for you! There is also a barbecue, so that you can spend your time with us in a more colourful and varied way.

For one of the apartments for 6 persons there is an extra bathroom, for the other one there is an extra restroom, so that families and groups of friends can stay more comfortably.

We hope to see you again this summer!! We are looking forward to the good weather, the summer, so that we can finally relax in the sunshine by the pool again!!!

Services

All apartments are air-conditioned and come with free WiFi, a flat-screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen. Tourist brochures and towels are available in the apartments. In the garden there are barbecue facilities, beer garden, outdoor heated - lockable pool (10,5 m x 5 m) with shower, Finnish sauna, umbrellas, deckchairs, tables, chairs, which are available for our guests free of charge. Free parking for 8 cars is available 3 m from the property, a grocery store (100 m) and a restaurant (120 m) are also available nearby.

Vonyarci Lido beach 900m (water skiing, mini golf, water bikes, beach volleyball, kayak rental, beach football, e-boat, adventure boat, bicycle rental, water aerobics, water taxi, water slide, fitness park, children's animation). All water equipment can be rented on the beach, we can arrange equipment reservations on request.

The Lido Beach in Vonyarcvashegy, which is very popular with young people, offers a unique experience among the beaches of Lake Balaton with its surf school, water skiing track and water stage. Its numerous events and services offer a real experience for all members of the family.

    • With its sandy beach, children's pool and EU comfort games, it is popular with children and adults alike. The little ones can enjoy the play house with animators, while the older ones can try their hand at giant slides, beach volleyball and beach handball.

    The beach has free parking. There are three entrances, accessible from the three ticket offices. Free changing rooms are available for hire along with cabins.

    Based on the plans of architect Károly Szerdahelyi, the grateful posterity turned an old, dilapidated mortuary into a memorial place for 40 fishermen, in which ceramic artist János Németh's bas-relief work evokes the story of the miraculous rescue. As a tradition-creating initiative, the "40 Fishermen's Memorial Day" is organized here every year in August with a high-quality and varied program, also in honor of the fishermen of Lake Balaton living today.

    In 1999 the Balaton Fishermen's Park was established, which became a popular place for tourists to take memorial photos. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Balaton Fisheries Joint Stock Company, a monument to the fishermen of Lake Balaton was erected in Vonyarcvashegy. The artwork erected in 1999 in the Balaton fishermen's park forms a bucket boat, and the boat and the stones under the fishermen are placed as if fishing was taking place in the waves of Lake Balaton. For the first time, the new Stone Age man made a craft for himself, from a single tree trunk, the inside of which he carved out, and this became the bucket boat. This was the exclusive craft of the fishermen of Lake Balaton until 1862. It has survived that János Szabó made the last bucket boats for the fishermen of Keszthely in 1897 in Vörs. The length of the Balaton bucket boats preserved as finds is usually between 320-575 cm, but there are also indications that it was built in the XVI-XVII centuries. There were ships over 12 m long and about 1.5 m high on Lake Balaton in the XVIII century, with which military troops were also transported – for example, for the siege of the castle of Fonyód by the Turks.

    A natural gate (lined with shrub oaks) entrants to the Cseri forest in Vonyarc. Here the road branches off in three directions, but going straight up the Cser valley, the green tourist sign leads up to the Smrdöskút pusta. The renewed resting place in the Keszthely Hills is family-friendly, as a playground awaits the little ones. The rest area provides every nature-loving hiker with a suitable place for a small stop or baking – cooking or gatherings with friends.

    In the vicinity of the beach, the local Golden Bridge Fishing Association operates a boat dock with a capacity of 70-80 boats, next to which another four-hundred-meter section has been created, which provides assistance for shore fishing.

    The 7.38 m high cross of light is located on the top of Csándor Hill, from which visitors can enjoy an unforgettable panorama of Lake Balaton. The walking path leads through the beautiful forest on the mountain.

    The first cisterns were built by the Romans, and one of the remaining members of this is the area around the Willow (v. Fisz) well. (Dornyai Caution 1934) It got its name from the willows along the well, which almost obscure it.

    The Balaton Uplands National Park built the new lookout tower in 2002 with the help of the Vonyarcvashegy Municipality, on a 225 m high mountain built of bench dolomite at one of the outstanding points of the Balaton Riviera.

    The 136-metre dolomite formation was once an island. In the 13th century, a small castle was built on the hilltop, which was almost completely destroyed in the storm of history, except for the small chapel. According to popular belief, the chapel was built in 1729 by 40 fishermen who luckily escaped a devastating storm at Lake Balaton. The legend associated with the chapel is a mixture of fairy tale and reality.

    Artifacts of folk piety include wooden crosses with tin corpus on the side of the road. Their statement is usually related to special events. The reason for the claim of the "red cross" is unknown. But all its characteristic features are the same as the wooden crosses so widespread in the Carpathian Basin. It is surrounded by a fence so that passers-by feel that they have arrived at a holy place. But the fence also served as a kind of protection for the cross.

    The Chapel of Vonyarc, commonly known as Vonyarc, was built in 1836 with the donation of Count László Festetics. The cemetery chapel is free-standing, single-nave, with a semicircular sanctuary, neoclassical style. On its southern façade there is an entrance closed by a tympanum supported by two Doric chaptered columns.
